[Teaser] Gantz Live Action

Este 2011, como muchos ya saben, en Japón se lanzará el Live Action del genial manga de Hiroya Oku, Gantz.

Trailer de la película Prince of Persia

Después de mucho tiempo por fin salió el trailer de esta esperada película. En si me pareció un poco confuso pero ahí va, al menos se nota interesante aunque mientras no se vea la película completa no se puede dar una crítica completa.

Se esta comenzando a decir que Mike Newel podría dirigir la película basada en Prince of Persia: Sands of Time (Príncipe de Persia: Las arenas del Tiempo) o Donnie Brasco, a quien se le ha ofrecido la dirección. Aún todo se encuentra en negociaciones.
Mike Newell es reconocido por películas como Harry Potter y el Cáliz de Fuego y Cuatro Bodas y un Funeral.
El guión fue escrito por Jeffrey Nachmanoff junto con Jordan Mechner, el mismo que creo al afamado Príncipe de Persia en su antigua versión (aquella de los años 80 que aún sigue en memoria de los gamers).
Ojala que próximamente se defina la dirección y comience la filmación. Y esperemos que no se convierta en otra desgracia de "película basada en videojuego" que arruina los guiones originales.

Ah, algo extra que no tiene que ver precisamente con PoP.
Max Payne tendrá película, también, y se cree que Mark Wahlberg (que apareció en El Planeta de los Simios) sea quien encarne a este, ya, legendario personaje.

Película animada de Resident Evil

Ya se dio el comunicado oficial de parte de Capcom.

Será un largometraje animado en CG de la famosa saga, Resident Evil. El nombre será Biohazard: Degeneration y saldrá en el 2008.

　CAPCOM Co., Ltd. (Osaka, Japan -- representative director and president: Haruhiro Tsujimoto; hereinafter "CAPCOM") and Sony Pictures Entertainment Japan Co., Ltd. (Tokyo Japan -- representative director and president: Ken Munekata; hereinafter "SPEJ") have announced coproduction of "BIOHAZARD: Degeneration," the first full-length CG animation feature based upon the BIOHAZARD series of games and movies.

　BIOHAZARD, began as a hit international video game franchise created by CAPCOM, then made its debut on the silver screen as the live-action film RESIDENT EVIL (the international film title for BIOHAZARD), distributed worldwide by Sony Pictures Entertainment. RESIDENT EVIL is the first trilogy of live-action movies to have come from a video game franchise. CAPCOM and Sony Picture's Japanese subsidiary SPEJ have teamed up to give birth to a CG-animated BIOHAZARD with groundbreaking visual effects and a brand-new story line.

　Since its initial release in 1996, the BIOHAZARD series of games has established the "survival horror" genre and has shipped over a 33 million units worldwide, continuing to captivate its fans as a powerful property. CAPCOM will continue to release new games within the franchise, such as "BIOHAZARD: Umbrella Chronicles" and "BIOHAZARD 5"

　The films "RESIDENT EVIL" and "RESIDENT EVIL 2: APOCALYPSE" have each grossed more than US$ 100 million at the Box Office internationally. "RESIDENT EVIL 3" aka "BIOHAZARD 3" (debuting throughout Japan on November 3) has been the biggest hit of the series in the US to date, adding to the high performance and public support for this franchise.

The full CG animation feature "BIOHAZARD: Degeneration" is currently in production, with plans for a terrifying release in 2008.

Ojala que esta película animada le haga justicia a Resident Evil, ya que en opinión de varios seguidores de la serie, los filmes con Milla Jovovich no cubrieron todas las expectativas.
